A Riverway Guide to 7 Fall Fun activities in southwest Ohio - PART 2

There is so much fall fun happening in the Riverway - here are seven more activities for you and your friends and family! (if you missed part 1 go here) 

- Do your leaf peeping from the sky. You can experience the ride of a lifetime in an open cockpit bi-plane and fly over the colorful fall trees on weekends at the WACO Historical Society in Troy.

- Enjoy some good old-fashioned family fun! The Great Pumpkin Roll Festival is October 16 in Franklin. Wear your favorite costume and bring the kids for trunk-or treat. You will see shows by the Cincinnati Zoo, watch the Great 4th Street Pumpkin Roll, play games, enjoy the food trucks, and find the best one at the pumpkin patch.

- Hocus Pocus Halloween is putting a spell on you and has lots of free, family fun! Come run "amuck, amuck, amuck" with us in downtown Middletown on Sunday, October 17th for THE family fun festival of the season! Join the Sanderson Sisters outside on S. Main Street (between Central Ave & 1st Ave) from 2 p.m. to Dusk. Enjoy Hocus Pocus themed fun, food & craft vendors, dance troupes, magic & illusion show, pumpkin carvers, meet Binx the cat, fun music, Howl-o-ween dog costume contest & parade, kids games and activities and more!

- Scary and spooky more your style? Then the highly-anticipated Historic Haunted Theater in Sidney is perfect for you. On October 13-17 and 20-22 you can start with Part 1 - a family-friendly spooking - and then have the option to continue to Part 2 where the true scaring begins.

- For the reallllllllllly scary stuff - at The Land of Illusion – Haunted Scream Park, they know how to dial up the dread. Open every weekend, come scream through this sprawling haunted theme park of delightful autumn fright… and bring your friends. They're always looking for a few good ghouls!

- Only want to be a little spooked? Visit Patterson Homestead on October 31 for their All-Hallow's Eve Tea. Join costumed interpreters for an authentic three-course tea service. Maybe the Patterson's will join you.
